World's Finest Breakdowns

This is my breakdowns (not full pencils) for an inker to finish over. That is to do their own lighting and rendering style over top of my layout/drawing. I actually love doing this part of the work. It's just so fun to figure out the layout and drawing. Doing the lighting and rendering is fun for me too but I like this part better.

Spinning to Infinity! My contribution!

I'm a huge Tarzan fan so when asked to participate I asked for a theme in that nature.
Spinning to Infinity is a web-site that is launching soon! Horizontal tabloid format. Every week is a new one-page done in one story in a different genre and drawn by a different artist. Slowly a connection between all these self contained stories develops and a universe develops. All strips are written by Steve Horton.

Here are some more pages from WWE issue 6 where I did tight breakdowns and not full pencils. I really enjoy doing these almost more then full pencils.

WWE Issue 6 Art

Well WWE Heroes 1-6 is a wrap on my end! Unfortunately due to time constraint issues you might have noticed in issue 4 towards the end I just did pencils and we got an inker. Issue 5 was me just doing full pencils and in issue 6 (the pages above are from issue 6) I did tight breakdowns. Not quite full pencils and not as loose as normal breakdowns.

Pitch piece

This is a pin-up for a friend of his characters. It's a pitch piece for a series he is proposing. Colors by the awesome Andrew Dallhouse.

Digital painting exercise

I've only done a couple digital paintings and I call them exercises more than finished pieces. I'm still learning and practicing when I can but I do enjoy doing things digitally. The ease of it all is just great! Sure there isn't a color original but I can live with that. I still do the drawing by hand and scan that in at least...;)

Jim Lee X-men Inks

After inking the Jim Lee Superman Batman page I found a photocopy of an X-men pin-up Jim did and wanted to give that a crack. I inked it with a Hunt 102 pen to give it more of a edgy look like he had back in his X-men days.

Inks over Jim Lee

A while back Jim posted this page on his blog for inkers to have a crack at. I couldn't help myself so I took the time and gave it a shot. I was happy with it and Jim posted on his blog that he was too! That was great for me to hear! I love Jim's stuff!
