After inking the Jim Lee Superman Batman page I found a photocopy of an X-men pin-up Jim did and wanted to give that a crack. I inked it with a Hunt 102 pen to give it more of a edgy look like he had back in his X-men days.
A while back Jim posted this page on his blog for inkers to have a crack at. I couldn't help myself so I took the time and gave it a shot. I was happy with it and Jim posted on his blog that he was too! That was great for me to hear! I love Jim's stuff!
Here are three pages of Supergirl layouts I did last week. I'm hoping to get to tighten the pencils up later this week to take to Baltimore Con with me.
I did two issues of Sigil for Cross Gen and one was pretty much an all out fight issue, Chuck Dixon is great at writing those! These two spreads show the lead up to the fight and one cool moment in the fight!
I did this about a decade ago for Marvel. They were doing more cartoony stuff at the time and asked me to work in that type of style. I had a great time doing the few jobs I did in this style and would love to play with it again some day.
I just had to post this! I drew this shot for a friend of mine a few years ago and my good buddy Mike Atiyeh (colorist supreme) just colored it up for the same mutual friend! Wow! I love it!
I was going through the art portfolio I take with me to conventions and this page is one that I always get asked about selling. I just can't do it though. One it's my favorite page of the book and two I have all 22 pages since I did pencils and inks and just can't part with the best page of the book. I'm also a huge, huge Hawkman fan!
